Daniel Boon

Daniel specialises in international arbitration, regularly assisting clients on complex cross-border commercial arbitrations. He also has significant experience in English court litigation. His practice often involves multi-sectoral disputes in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Daniel's main area of practice is international commercial arbitration, where he has acted as counsel for multinational corporations in arbitration proceedings under most of the major arbitral institutional rules. He also has experience with tribunal secretary work in LCIA arbitration proceedings.
During his time on secondment to Stephenson Harwood's Seoul office, Daniel also worked on LMAA arbitrations, including a high value shipbuilding dispute.
Beyond international commercial arbitrations, Daniel has a special interest in investment treaty disputes. He is a co-author of the Global Arbitration Review Insight piece on investment treaty arbitration in India. He also regularly writes on investment treaty arbitration issues for various publications.
Daniel is an unregistered barrister and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2016. He is also a Jardine Foundation Scholar for 2016/2017.
